A few weekends ago, Jeffrey and I took Caroline to the deer camp in Grenada. Ella and Mary Michael spent the night with Marleigh at her Gaga's house. They had so much fun at their first sleepover. We really missed them, but we enjoyed spending one-on-one time with Caroline. Michael, Melissa, and Stafford met us over there. Caroline and Stafford played very well together - a little too well. As you can see from the pictures, Caroline couldn't keep her hands off of him. He might have gotten a little too much love.

pumpkin fun
The girls spent the night with Nanny and Papa this weekend and had lots of fun! They carved pumpkins and enjoyed the beautiful fall weather with their cousins Tyler and Madison.

The girls and I went to Octoberfest this past weekend. We had fun walking around downtown looking at all of the interesting booths. The booth that really caught the girls attention was the wildlife booth with a live snake and baby alligator. They were not afraid at all. In fact, Caroline actually pinched the snake (luckily it didn't get her back).

many firsts
We have had many "firsts" over the past few weeks. Caroline has started the First Baptist Church Mother's Morning Out two mornings a week. I cannot believe that Ella and Mary Michael started when they were her age - they've been there two years! They have had their first day of dancing - very exciting for them. They love their "dancing costumes" and shoes. I think they like the dressing up more than the actual class, but they do love that, too. They show us what they do and are very animated about it! Ella and Mary Michael also went to a cheerleading camp and performed at the Bayou Academy Jr. High football game. They had a lot of fun learning a cheer and a dance. They did so well!

Andrea's visit
Andrea, Parker, Jack, and Anna came to visit last night. The girls were so excited they came. All of them had such a good time staying up late watching "The Godmothers" (Cinderella) movie. Ella and Mary Michael were thrilled to get to sleep on "their set up bed" (Nanny's air mattress), and Anna was so happy just to play with "K.K." (Caroline). Jack helped Jeffrey on the farm, and Parker helped us all by entertaining whoever needed attention. We definitely need to do it more often!

Memphis trip
I never thought that I would be creating a blog (especially since I've never even e-mailed a picture), but I realized that this is a great way to keep family and friends up-to-date on what's going on with us.
We recently went on a mini-vacation to Memphis. We visited the zoo and the children's museum. "Monkey George" (Ella and Mary Michael's name for Curious George) had an exhibit at the museum, and that is their current favorite character. The girls had a great time - we all did! It was nice to get away, and Jeffrey really needed to get away from the farm (where he has been busy watering very thirsty beans and rice). Here are some pictures from our trip...
